Tuks Residences provides a dedicated panic button application, known as Hatfield CID, which you can utilize while commuting between campus and the residence during evening hours. It is important to note that this application is provided free of charge to all students residing within Tuks Residences.

Should you find yourself without sufficient airtime for such communication, it is advisable to notify the Facilities House Committee, who can make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
Additionally, we provide designated study areas and IT labs for your academic endeavors, at no cost to you. Within the IT lab facilities, printers are available for use; however, you must first create a Tuks Print profile and load funds onto it in order to access printing services. This ensures smooth and efficient operation of the printing facilities.
Parking arrangements are facilitated through the UP Portal system.
First-year students (Dahlias) may apply for uncovered parking.
Semi's and Seniors may apply for covered parking.
Accommodation options within our residence include both bootleg rooms and single rooms. Allocation of rooms is conducted with meticulous attention to academic merit and seniority.
For first-year students, room assignments are determined by your performance in Grade 12, taking into consideration your final examination marks. Furthermore, single rooms are exclusively reserved for first-year students.
For Semi's and Seniors, placement in Madelief is contingent upon achieving a minimum average of 55% in the first semester.
Each academic year, an allocation of R14400 is disbursed to your student account, either funded directly by yourself or through your bursary. Moreover, residents have the option to supplement their meal accounts with additional funds as needed.
